What are the Differences Between Locoloc® Handswagers?

Despite the design being similar on many Locoloc® handswagers, each have unique capabilities that are crucial to consider before making a purchase. In today’s blog we will be looking at three of our handswagers, the 0-3/16SC, 0-7/32, and the 0-1/4 tool. Each of these tools make eye, lap, and stop sleeve splicing of cables easy. Our swagers are domestically manufactured at our Naples, Florida facility. Continue reading to learn more about these three handswagers.

Locoloc® 0-3/16SC Handswager:

The 0-3/16SC has a design with an “over center” leverage. The design means that the tool has a powerful snap action to the thrust of the jaws, giving you a clean and tight compression every time. The tool swages 3/16” oval sleeves and 7/32” stainless steel sleeves. The weight of the tool is 4.2 lbs. and is 20” in length.

Lololoc Handswager

Locoloc® 0-7/32 Handswager:

The tool swages 7/32” oval sleeves and ¼” stainless steel sleeves. The tool weighs 5 lbs. and is 28” in length. Similar to our other tools, the 0-7/32C should be regularly cleaned and lubricated, bolts kept tight, and swage properly adjusted.

Locoloc 07-32 Handswager

Locoloc® 0-1/4 Handswager:

The 0-1/4 swager is a single-cavity tool for swaging copper & aluminum ¼” oval sleeves. The tool can also swage ¼”, 5/16”, and 3/8” stop sleeve. The length of the swaging is 28” and weighs 5 lbs.
