Loos and Company Medical Technologies Division receives a few common questions about our pricing of cable and wire products for the medical industry. To make it easier for our customers, we have compiled a list of these questions in our blog post, along with our detailed answers. By reading this blog you will have a greater understanding of our pricing system and will be ready to place an order today!

Q: Do we charge for certifications?

A: We provide a full Certificate of Analysis free of charge with each shipment. But, because of the time and effort involved in reporting and testing we charge for additional quality services. These services are ones related to the products and processes requested by our customers. When filling out a quotation, please let us know which additional services you require so we can fulfill your needs. Additional fees for services requested after shipment and for expediting results may apply. Get a detailed list of charges for additional services by going to our shipping focused webpage here.

Q: Is freight included in our price?

A: Freight is not included in our price. Our pricing is FOB Factory, Freight Collect.

Q: Why am I charged a surcharge?

A: Similar to all manufacturers, we negotiate raw material prices as far in advance as possible. However, fluctuations in the metals markets necessitate that steel mills pass along certain costs to us related to the alloys used in the manufacture of steel.

Q: How do we price our products?

A: Our cable products are sold in linear increments (feet, meters). Our wire is sold by weight (pounds, kilograms).
