Hurricane Ian:

In the past few days, our employees in Naples and the greater community of Florida have been impacted by Hurricane Ian. Our Cableware Division has been closed September 27th & 28th to ensure the safety of all employees, and we anticipate reopening for normal business hours on Monday, October 3rd. Luckily, our Cableware Division building and staff are safe from the storm.

Hurricane Ian had been considered a major Category 4 hurricane, and knocked out power for over 2 million people in the Florida area. The storm has caused catastrophic damage in Florida and has led to ongoing extensive flooding.

Extremely strong winds have hit various regions of Florida and has impacted countless homes, businesses, hospitals, and other infrastructure. The flooding from Hurricane Ian is also being seen as a serious issue, with many unable to leave their homes. Today, President Joe Biden has approved a Florida disaster declaration to aid those effected by the disaster. Hurricane Ian is one of the strongest hurricanes to hit the United States in recent history and we stand by our resilient community at this time. Our thoughts go out to anyone effected by this tragedy.

As of today, September 29th, Hurricane Ian has been downgraded to a tropical storm. Multiple county zones in Florida have also seen evacuation orders being lifted this morning, including Hillsborough and Pinellas.
