When it comes to swagers, the quality of manufacturing is crucial. A domestically made swaging tool ensures reliability, reduces shipping time, and makes it much easier to get spare parts when required. In today’s blog we are going to look at three of our handswagers that are Made in the USA. Each of these tools make eye, lap, and stop sleeve splicing of cables easy. The three tools we will be looking at are 0-3/32SC, 0-1/8SC , and the 0-5/32SC tool. These swagers are domestically manufactured at our Naples, Florida facility. The 0-3/32SC tool swages 3/32” oval sleeves. In addition, the tool swages 3/32” and 1/8” stop sleeves alongside 1/8” stainless steel oval sleeves. The tool weights 4.2 lbs. and is 20” in length. The design of the tool has an over center leverage, meaning the tool transmits a powerful snap-action to the final thrust of the jaws. The unique design makes for a tight and clean compression every time.
The 0-1/8SC tool has the same over center leverage feature and the same length and weight properties as the 0-3/32SC swager. This tool swages 1/8″ oval and 5/32″, 3/16″, 7/32 stop sleeves, plus 5/32″ stainless steel sleeves.
The 0-5/32SC tool swages 5/32” oval sleeves and 3/16” stainless steel sleaves. Like all of our other handswagers, the tool should be regularly cleaned and lubricated, bolts kept tight, and swage properly adjusted.
