Hurricane Sandy is predicted to cause substantial damage to the Middle Atlantic and New England regions. As of 10/29, 8:00 AM, Loos & Co. is still open in production and administrative capabilities. As the storm progresses, there is the potential that we may lose communications (Email, Fax, Phone). In the event that we lose internet or phone service, please stay tuned to our social media websites or continue to check our homepage for updates. Many freight carriers have already informed us that they are not going to be picking up for the next 24-48 hours, and we expect many more to follow suit. Everybody please be safe - and we will do our best to keep you up to date as we receive information. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
UPDATE 10:00 AM 10/29: Gov. Dannel Malloy has begun a truck ban starting at 11:00 AM EST. This means that freight carriers will not be picking up/delivering orders.
UPDATE 09:00 AM 10/30: The brunt of the storm has passed, and Loos & Co. has weathered it. We have lost a few trees, but our facilities and operations remain unscathed. Power and communications were temporarily lost, and our facility ended up closing at noon yesterday due to a statewide driving ban from Governor Malloy. The truck ban pushed back shipments for yesterday, and should have some effect on today's as well. All in all, we are lucky that this storm did not cause the damage that it did on the shoreline. If you have any questions about any orders you may have been expediting or expecting to ship out in the last 24 hours, please contact your product manager for a current status. Thank-You!
