As many of you may already know, much of the eastern seaboard has been affected by Hurricane Irene. Connecticut was struck head on by the storm. Fortunately, Loos & Company has weathered the storm and we are in the process of returning to normal operation. Our facilities remain undamaged; however utilities have been severed across most of the state. Currently, there is the largest power outage in the history of Connecticut, with over 50% of the population left in the dark. Recently, we installed a diesel generator as part of the “Demand Response Program” with Connecticut Light & Power. This generator has allowed our manufacturing and administrative efforts to continue with operations. These statewide outages have taken their toll; our internet and phone services have been down since the beginning of the storm. We are working to expedite current orders and quotes in process, and will be ready to respond to new requests when our systems return to working order. We appreciate your patience, and look forward to assisting you with all of your wire, cable, wire rope, and cable assembly questions or concerns. We apologize for any inconvenience.
