Here at Loos & Company, we are very thankful for everything that we have, and give back at every chance we get. Many people suffer from illnesses and ailments that require blood transfusions - blood that is often in short supply. In partnership with the American Red Cross, we host an annual company blood drive to help those in need.

Wednesday, the American Red Cross collected 41 usable pints of blood from our Blood Drive. We are proud of those who supported this noble cause, and can only hope to continue this in the future. Visit our Facebook Page to see more pictures from the event.

Although we encourage people to donate during our blood drive, it is not the only time you can. To learn more about Donating Blood, or to locate a Blood Drive in your area, please contact the American Red Cross.

Here are some fast facts  about blood donation from the American Red Cross:

• Every two seconds someone in the U.S. needs blood
• More than 38,000 blood donations are needed every day
• A total of 30 million blood components are transfused each year in the U.S. (2006)
• More than 1 million new people are diagnosed with cancer each year. Many of them will need blood, sometimes daily, dduring their chemotherapy treatment. 
• A single car accident victim can require as many as 100 pints of blood.
