We all know that our products show up in extraordinary places: fishing lures, horse boots, water tanks, etc… And we see our products in exciting applications like fight controls and helicopter rescue hoists.

And then there are the really exciting jobs. The photo below is of our wire rope in a specially designed lightning arrestor application surrounding a NASA launch pad in Cape Canaveral, FL (you may need to look real close!). Our wire rope is used to support and to provide a ground for the three towers used in this system.  It is also rigged between those towers to create a lighting barrier that pens in the launch site.

It just so happens that this picture was taken while one of the towers was being struck by lightning!  And, of course, the wire rope survived unscathed. That’s some high quality wire rope if you ask me!
