Have you seen Loos and Company’s New Community Commitment Page?

Sep 23, 2021 01:15 PM

looscoFor many years, Loos and Company has been proud to provide support to those in and around the Pomfret, Connecticut community. The passionate team at Loos firmly believes in the importance of giving, so we have decided to create a webpage that showcases the work our company has done in both the local community, and on a more global scale. Our community commitment page is divided into three sections, outreachinvolvement, and support. Visit our website to navigate through this new and exciting information!

Outreach:

The outreach section of our page focuses on Loos and Company’s financial donations to the organizations in Pomfret that are most in need. One example of community outreach that Loos has focused on during the pandemic is that Loos has set aside $50 for every COVID-19 vaccinated employee to donate to local organizations. Loos employees felt highly motivated by this incentive, and as a result, Loos was able to donate to a wide range of groups, including food banks, veteran organizations, senior centers, charities, and fundraisers.

Involvement:

As part of our new community commitment page, we have added an involvement section. Our involvement section highlights the numerous local and nationwide organizations partnered with Loos and Company. Loos is members of organizations such as Associated Wire Rope Fabricators (AWRF) and Quiet Corner Innovation Cluster (QCIC). Our page also highlights a full list of the organizations that Loos and Company has contributed to, including the Danielson Veterans Coffee House and St. Vincent de Paul Place Norwich, Inc.

Support:

The support section of our page focuses on big issues that occur internationally and the ways in which Loos is fighting to change these issues in our local community. For example, for many years there has been a lack of diversity in workplaces and Loos is tackling the problem by hiring a highly diverse workforce with seven leadership roles within the company being held by women. To further support the cause for female equality in the workplace, Loos has worked with the Community Foundation of Eastern Connecticut’s Northeast Women & Girls Fund, a foundation which helps women and girls achieve their professional, personal, and educational goals in the local area. Another issue Loos tackles is environmental. Loos has met with those who sell fresh and local product in Pomfret as we are committed to improving sustainability as buying local leads to an environmentally friendly future.
